CORK!!!!

today i went to cork for a talk by garreth clark. he talked about the work of ai weiwei.this i found quite interesting to be honest. clark grabs a persons  attention really well. the talk went on for approx an hour and a half. i felt i learnt from it anyway:)

week 2

today im starting off on my narrative. at the moment im trying to get a narrative together so im researching for today, books and internet, looking at song lyrics also to help:)

ceramics.......

last week i started off with my choosen area that i got which is ceramics.... for the first day i was extremely tired and very jet lagged so was all over the place didnt know what was happening but i got into a group to start with and from there on we got a 1 week project of problem based learning....
this inclued us researching the breath of ceramics in 2012... we all got individual topics to research and different jobs to do also.. i was a reporter.. there were also people who were scribes and joan was our chairperson :) i got the research topic of differnt types of clay and kilns .. on the last day we put everything together and presented it on A1 sheets infront of all the class... this of course was nerve wrecking, but it was also a learning curve and I have to say a bit exciting to do ... Now this week we are movignonto choosing a narrative for our work!!:)

near the end

yesterday i finished off my ceramics pieces. for the next few pieces of mine i done a crackle glaze instead of the naked raku and it turned out really well, i liked the effect of it. one piece didnt work out as good though.
